Configure Outlook 2000 - New E-Mail Account

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook by double-clicking your Microsoft Outlook icon.

  2. Click on Tools at the top then click on Accounts.

  3. The Internet Accounts window will pop up.Click on the Add button, and then click Mail.

  4. All of your outgoing e-mails will be from whatever you type in the Display name field. Once you have typed in what you would like, click Next.

  5. Type in your e-mail address in the E-mail address field and click Next.

  6. Select POP3 in the dropdown and then type mail.pmt.org in both the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP) field. Click Next.

  7. Next to Account name field, type the first part of your e-mail address then type in your password in the Password field. Putting a check next to Remember password will allow you to check your e-mail without entering your password every time. Then click Next.

  8. Select whether you dial up through a phone line or if you have DSL put a dot next to Connect using my local area network (LAN).

  9. Click Finish and the Close the Internet Accounts window. You're set to e-mail.
